A flagship initiative in this area is the S&T Innovation Training Program for High-Level Policymakers. Designed in collaboration with our partner in Korea KISTEP, this program strengthens the skills of senior decision-makers in developing countries. It offers practical guidance on the key pillars of STI governance (planning, investment, and evaluation (PIE)) and includes interactive workshops to assess national innovation capacities. The program also serves as a platform for policymakers to share experiences, identify common challenges, and explore best practices in STI policy development.

In addition to this program, ISTIC supports a range of activities that reinforce STI for sustainable development. These include promoting interdisciplinary and inclusive research, encouraging mission-oriented partnerships among public research institutions, private sector, and civil society, advancing international cooperation and promoting the use of digital technologies and data systems to support SDG implementation.
