Call for Applications – 40th Khwarizmi International Award (KIA)
The International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation (ISTIC) is pleased to share the opening of the call for submissions to the 40th Khwarizmi International Award (KIA), organized annually by the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST).
Established in 1987, the Khwarizmi International Award is a prestigious international distinction dedicated to recognizing and honoring outstanding achievements in science, technology, and innovation. It aims to highlight the work of researchers, innovators, and inventors from around the world whose contributions address pressing global challenges and foster technological and scientific advancement.
The Award is supported by several international organizations, including WAITRO, WIPO, UNESCO, APCTT, COMSATS, and COMSTECH, reflecting its strong international scope and recognition within the global scientific community.
The 40th edition of the KIA will be celebrated in February 2027 during a high-level ceremony attended by distinguished guests, including senior government officials and leading scientists.
Researchers and innovators worldwide are warmly invited to submit their applications.
