Education for Sustainable Development

IBSE and STEM Education Programmes

IBSE (Inquiry-Based Science Education) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programmes are initiatives focused on training teachers and trainers, supporting local initiatives, and developing educational resources aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Programme’s main activities

Regional workshops for teachers and master trainers

Hands-on training sessions conducted across different countries to build the capacity of educators in IBSE and STEM teaching. These workshops empower teachers and master trainers to implement student-centered, SDG-aligned approaches in their classrooms and teacher training institutions.

Development of STEM modules linked
to the SDGs

Localization and adaptation of international STEM education resources to create structured teaching modules that align with national curricula and the SDGs. These materials integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with real-world sustainability issues – such as Computer Science Education, AI Education and One Belt One Road Fusion of Civilizations. This custom modules enabling students to explore global challenges through practical, contextually relevant learning experiences.

Translation of Resourses

Publication translation of high-quality STEM and IBSE educational materials originally produced in French by La main a la pate Foundation, making them accessible to a wider audience in English-speaking countries. This enhances regional knowledge sharing and supports multilingual education across the Global South.
