ISTIC was\u00a0<\/span>honored<\/span>\u00a0to be invited to the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>National Planetary Health Forum<\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>organized on<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>20<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span>\u00a0of Novembe<\/span><\/span>r\u00a0<\/span>by the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM)<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0 in Kuala Lumpur. <\/span><\/span><\/h5>
This national-level event brought together stakeholders from\u00a0<\/span><\/span>government, academia, industry, and international<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>organizations<\/span><\/span>\u00a0to advance Malaysia\u2019s commitment to planetary health.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Forum\u00a0aimed to present\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>National Planetary Health Action Plan (NPHAP)<\/span><\/a>, developed by ASM under the mandate of the\u00a0<\/span>National Science Council<\/span><\/a>\u00a0through\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span>Ministry of Science,\u00a0Technology\u00a0and\u00a0Innovation<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(MOSTI). This strategic plan positions planetary health as a core\u00a0component\u00a0of Malaysia\u2019s development agenda<\/strong> and complements national priorities such as the\u00a0<\/span>13th Malaysia Plan.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The plan encompasses six key result areas, 53 strategies, and 222 action plans<\/strong>, guided by humanity-centric, STI-enabled, nature-based, and values-driven principles. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Speakers and panelists from diverse fields,\u00a0ranging from public policy and academia to environmental management and civil society,\u00a0shared insights on how Malaysia can strengthen its resilience and accelerate sustainable transformation. <\/span><\/p>

The panel session,\u00a0<\/span>\u201cAdvancing Planetary Health: Bridging Policy and Practice\u201d<\/span><\/i>,\u00a0emphasized\u00a0the need to connect national strategies with practical implementation on the ground.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The event highlighted the importance of collective action, cross-sector collaboration, and shared values of sustainability, innovation, trust, and compassion.<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>
