The partnership began in 2009,<\/span> when KISTEP and ISTIC signed their first agreement to co-develop and deliver the KISTEP\u2013ISTIC STI Training Programme for High-Level Policymakers.<\/span> Inspired by the Republic of Korea\u2019s journey, from a recipient of development aid to a globally recognized innovation-driven economy, the initiative highlights the critical role of strategic investments in science and technology. Central to Korea\u2019s transformation was a robust policy system for planning, evaluation, and coordination,<\/span> with KISTEP playing a pivotal role in its advancement.
In its latest phase, the training integrates contemporary issues<\/span> such as science diplomacy, emerging technologies, and strategic foresight,<\/span> further enhancing its relevance and impact.
