MOSTI Minister the Hon. Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Madius Tangau visits NAM S&T Centre in New Delhi
2 April 2017, New Delhi, India

Dato’ Ir. Lee Yee Cheong, ISTIC Honorary Chairman accompanied MOSTI Minister YB Datuk Seri Panglima Madius Tangau on a working visit to the Centre for Science and Technology of the Non-Aligned Movement and other Developing Countries (NAM S & T Centre)  in New Delhi. The Minister was a member of the Malaysian delegation which was on official visit to India led by  the Prime Minister. The NAM S & T Centre is an inter-governmental organisation, established in 1989  as follow-up of the decision taken by government leaders at various summits to promote south-south cooperation.   The working visit was also in preparation towards Malaysia hosting the NAM S&T Governing Council Meeting in September.

NAM S&T Centre is one of ISTIC’s strategic partners through an Agreement that was signed in 2016 which enables collaborative programmes to be organised between the two organisations. The first of such programmes was the International Training Programme on STI Policy and Management for Developing Countries which was held from 8-12 August 2016. Prof. Dr. Arun P. Kulshreshtha, the NAM S&T Director-General is a member of ISTIC STI Advisory Council.
